JAGUAR NUMBER PLATES - HOW TO BUY
When you have found the number you would like to purchase, make sure that it can be transferred to your vehicle. The basic rule is that you may not transfer a number plate to a vehicle if the vehicle itself is older than the year indicated by the indicator numbers or letter on the plate. For example, a car that originally bore a ‘G’ year prefix plate may not display an ‘S’ prefix plate as that would falsely make the vehicle appear younger than it is.
NB: If you do not have a vehicle, you may still purchase your registration and retain it on a special certificate until you are ready to transfer it to a vehicle. If this applies to you please call us and we’ll explain what's involved. It’s really very straightforward.Once you have chosen the registration you would like to purchase simply click on the ‘Buy Plate’ link next to that plate and you will be guided through the process.
Please note that the price advertised or sale price agreed with us is the price you pay. Unlike most other companies, the fees associated with the purchase and/or transfer are included and are not in addition to the price shown.
Once purchased the registration can be assigned to your motor vehicle or that of your ‘nominee’. If you choose not to assign the registration to a vehicle you are entitled to hold it on retention. Alternatively, if someone makes you an offer that is too tempting to turn down, the registration mark is yours to sell on.
We are happy to accept the following methods of payment – Personal/business cheque, bankers draft, credit card cheque or transfer of funds to our bank account.
